The Forsythe Live Oak Planting Project was a joint effort with the City of Monroe, Friends Of Forsythe Park, Ouachita Business Alliance, Holyfield Construction, local garden clubs, elected officials, and many individual donors.

This project was completed and dedicated January 21st 2022. The project included planting 60 Live Oak trees along Forsythe & Park Avenues to replace the trees that have been lost in the hurricane and tornados in the past few years.

Ouachita Parish Water Sweep

Litter Removed

Ouachita Parish Water Sweep was held on September 18, 2021. Over 300 volunteers came out covering 10 locations parish wide and removed 12,640 lbs. of litter and debris from the Ouachita River, Black Bayou, & HWY 165 / ULM Bayou. Volunteers removed, tires, tents, furniture, and other types of litter from the waterways.

ULM / HWY 165 Landscaping

The ULM / Hwy. 165 Landscaping project  was completed and dedicated October 6, 2020. This project was a joint project with the City of Monroe, University of Louisiana at Monroe, Ouachita Business Alliance, and many individual and business donors. The Project is a beautiful maroon and gold landscaping tribute highlighting the Hwy. 165 entrance into the ULM campus.

To The Zoo Team Up 2 Clean Up

The To The Zoo Team Up 2 Clean Up event took place October 8 & 9, 2021. Over 160 volunteers came out to help clean up and beautify The corner of 165 S & Ticheli Rd. Volunteers removed over 89,200 of litter and illegally dumped debris from the lots and surrounding areas. The area serves as the main route to our local Zoo, this project was led by our Love Where You Live team of Interns.
