Ouachita Green provides organization and planning for beautification projects, litter abatement, fundraising events, and educational efforts in Ouachita Parish.
Education in the 1st quarter of 2025
Ouachita Green has made a concentrated effort to speak to students in Kindergarten through 5th grades in public, private and homeschools. We also have a vital intern program with middle and high school students actively involved in litter abatement, education, beautification and recycling.
Household Hazardous Waste
Our Household Hazardous Waste event was held on March 15th from 1-4pm after severe weather threats. 135 volunteers came to help, 526 cars drove through and a total of 100,905 pounds of hazardous waste was collected from Ouachita Parish citizens.
Cleanups in the 1st quarter of 2025
Ouachita Green hosted cleanups involving 218 volunteers and 12 groups who removed 104,500 pounds of litter from Ouachita Parish in the first quarter of 2025!
