Ouachita Green provides organization and planning for beautification projects, litter abatement, fundraising events, and educational efforts in Ouachita Parish.
Education in 2024
Ouachita Green has made a concentrated effort to speak to students in Kindergarten through 5th grades in public, private and homeschools. We also have a vital intern program with over 42 middle and high school students actively involved in litter abatement, education, beautification and recycling.
Ouachita Parish Water Sweep
Ouachita Parish Water Sweep was held on September 14, 2024. 366 volunteers signed up and cleaned 15 locations. 43 groups were represented, plus groups from ULM came and altogether we collected 8.75 tons of trash!
Cleanups
Ouachita Green facilitated cleanups involving 1,873 volunteers, 195 groups 88.43 tons in 2024!
