REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPLETION:
* Intern and guardian must download and turn on notifications on GroupMe

*Participate in a full shift on 3 of 5 major events (see below)

* Participate in at least 5 additional cleanup or beautification events. (Volunteer at a minimum of 8 events; events are announced on GroupMe and are online at ouachitagreen.org/events/)

* Participate in at least 1 educational opportunity, such as Fall Family Fun Fest, Friends of Black Bayou’s Fall Celebration, school STEM nights.

* Sign in and out of all events.

* Complete the Internship Program Checklist, noting your hours and visitors’ names.

* Return this filled out form to info@ouachitagreen.org or in person by Monday, April 26, 2027 by 5pm.

* Intern recognition ceremony will be Thursday, May 6, 2027, Location TBD.

NOTES:
* Most events are held on Saturday mornings.

* Please register for all events online at ouachitagreen.org/volunteer. This helps us know how many supplies to bring.

* If you have a Ouachita Green or Love the Boot t-shirt, wear it to all events, cleanups, etc.

* Our initial meeting will be on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 5:30pm, location TBD.

* Love the Boot Week (4/17-4/25) is an excellent opportunity to make up for missed minor events; the Ouachita Green Love the Boot Week Event on April 24th can be one of your 3 major events.

* Saturday, October 24, 2026, 12pm-6pm, FALL FAMILY FUN FEST, West Monroe Sports & Events (this is an educational and major event)

* Saturday, November 14, 2026, 8am-2pm, AMERICA RECYCLES DAY, Monroe Civic Center

* Saturday, March 20, 2027, 8am-2pm, HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE, Ike Hamilton Expo Center, West Monroe

* Saturday, April 24, 2027, OUACHITA GREEN’S INTERNS LOVE THE BOOT WEEK EVENT, Location announced on GroupMe

I agree to the following Ouachita Green internship requirements.

All applications must have a photo and letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, pastor, etc. attached below or emailed to info@ouachitagreen.org. At the end of each school year all interns graduating from our program will receive a letter of recommendation to be used with college applications and each intern will be considered for our Ouachita Green Outstanding Intern Scholarship.
