Be a change maker. Teach children to love and care for their community. Keep Louisiana Beautiful and Ouachita Green invite teachers K-5th to attend a free environmental education workshop. The workshop will introduce teachers to a new environmental education program designed to help students become good environmental stewards. The program contains 10 environmental lesson plans, hands-on, interactive activities, fun worksheets, grade level student standards, and supplemental resources. Topics include; defining litter, timeline of trash, litter decomposition, watershed, clean water, effects on wildlife, plastics pollution, reducing, reusing, recycling and civic responsibility.

All participants must register at: www.keeplouisianabeautiful.org/register. Space is limited to the first 20 teachers to register. Teachers attending the full workshop will receive a curriculum manual, five CLU hours, tote bag with books, lunch and a $50 stipend.
